Chris: "Try it!"
We have been tring for 14 months, with clearblue ovulation test & I even bought the clearblue fertility monitor but no luck. I bought this product 1 month 1/2 ago, and I am pregnant now! I got pregnant the first cycle I used the lubricant.. Could be a coincidence but definitely worth trying in my opinion

According to NICE guidelines, you should visit your GP if you haven't conceived after 12 months of regular, unprotected intercourse. However, if you're over 36 or have known fertility concerns, it's worth speaking to your doctor sooner. Remember, around 1 in 7 UK couples experience fertility issues, so you're certainly not alone.
Can fertility lubricants really help you get pregnant?
Many couples find that specially formulated fertility-friendly lubricants can support their conception journey, as standard lubricants may affect sperm motility. Products like Conceive Plus are designed to be pH-balanced and compatible with sperm, making them a popular choice for couples who are TTC. While results vary, many users report positive experiences when using them alongside ovulation tracking.
Do ovulation tests like Clearblue actually work for tracking fertile days?
Yes, ovulation predictor kits are generally reliable for detecting your LH surge, which indicates your most fertile window. The NHS recognises these tools as helpful for timing intercourse, though they work best when used consistently each cycle. Combining ovulation tracking with fertility-friendly products may help optimise your chances of conceiving.
What fertility supplements are recommended when trying to conceive in the UK?
The NHS recommends folic acid for all women trying to conceive, and many couples also choose supplements containing ingredients like Myo-Inositol to support hormone balance and ovulation. It's always wise to choose supplements from reputable brands and discuss any new supplements with your GP, particularly if you have underlying health conditions.
How can I get a referral to a fertility clinic on the NHS?

Is it normal to take over a year to get pregnant?
It's completely normal for conception to take time, with many healthy couples taking up to a year or even longer to fall pregnant. The NHS notes that 1 in 7 couples experience difficulties conceiving, so if you've been trying for a while, you're not alone. Using ovulation tracking, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and trying fertility-friendly products can all support your journey whilst you wait.
What should I do while waiting for NHS fertility treatment?
While waiting for NHS appointments or treatment, many couples focus on lifestyle factors such as maintaining a healthy weight, reducing alcohol intake, and taking recommended supplements like folic acid. Using ovulation kits to track your fertile window and trying fertility-friendly lubricants can also help maximise your chances of conceiving naturally in the meantime.
